Our upcoming Quest article is "Hints For Bread-makers and Bakers".

Bread, in one or another of its many guises, made from any of a number of flours, is a staple of many cultures. Be it leavened or not, flat, tall, round, or bâtard, a well-made loaf is a thing of beauty as well as sustenance. But the creative spark does not stop there; for centuries, creative cooks have turned out delectable baked goods of all kinds.

Society bakers, do you have a prize-winning recipe redaction, an indispensable adaptation, suggestions for substitutions, treasured sources, or other hints, helps or good advice to share? Send your contribution of up to 300 words to tieditor@sca.org by November 25 and it may be included in the 1st Quarter 2020 Issue of Tournaments Illuminated. If you'd like to share a photo as well, please write and ask for image specs.
